If you only want to link your Integration to a Database, get your secret key and your database id. You’ll get everything you need here !

But I made the following tutorial to go along with this other one :

Notion + Shortcuts + Notes: How to set up an ‘add Notes’ Shortcut — Step by Step, follow along for beginners!

1. Create your Notes Database

On Notion, create a new Page and add a very simple Database.

As we want to mimic the Notes native app of Apple, we add those 2 properties: created and last edited.
And sort content by last edited | Descending

Don’t change the default column name if you want to follow the other tutorial.

2. Create your Integration

Go to this page: https://www.notion.so/my-integrations

  • 👆 Tap on Create a new integration

Give it a name and make sure you associate the right workspace.

  • 👆 Tap on Submit

3. Get your secret key

You land on a page where you can get your secret key.

  • 👆 Tap on Show and Copy your key

Keep it somewhere close, as we’re gonna use it on the other tutorial.

4. Link your integration to your Database

Go back to your Database on Notion.

👆 Tap on :

1: Share
2: Invite field
3: Your integration

Then 👆 Tap on Invite

5. Get your Database id

When you are on your Database page, your Database id is on the URL.

source: https://developers.notion.com/docs/getting-started

Keep it somewhere close, as we’re gonna use it on the other tutorial.

And that’s it, you’re all set up to start having fun !!

If you want to use Apple Shortcuts to add Notes both on your Notion database and Notes native app at the same time very quickly.

I would recommend following this story :

Feel free to comment, clap and share !

Cheers !
